Caparsa: A Legacy of Tradition and Quality in Winemaking

Caparsa Chianti

Caparsa is a distinguished vineyard located in the picturesque Radda in the Chianti area, renowned for its terroir-driven production. Since 1982, it has been lovingly managed by Paolo Cianferoni and his family. The Caparsa family includes Paolo’s energetic partner, Gianna, and their children.

Federico Cianferoni is the oldest son of Paolo’s big family. Since he was a kid, he lived and worked at the winery. In older age, he studied Media and communication and always loved to work in the sales part of the farm. For 15 years he has traveled the world to meet clients, buyers, and importers. Wine is part of his heritage, part of his family and land history, part of his heart. Caparsa is a magic place: it’s home, family and work. He tries to pass on this emotions to all wine lovers.

The philosophy of Caparsa can be encapsulated in one word: tradition. This philosophy is deeply rooted in the historical sharecropping system, where wine was integral to daily life and considered a complement to food. The emphasis on healthiness in all production processes and the wine itself is a testament to Caparsa’s dedication to quality.
